There are several teams in the NFL this season that are truly bad; the St. Louis Rams, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cincinnati Bengals, but the Lions have to take the cake. They were up SEVENTEEN points, and ended up losing by eighteen. That takes a special brand of awfulness. This is not your run of the mill putrid football team, no sir, they are playing on a whole different level of horrible. They are the Da Vincis of bad football, they operate on an entirely different plane. So, take heart Lions fans. Yes, your team may be awful, and it may be painful to watch them (when they are on television, at least), but at least you are watching a once in a lifetime bad team. The kind of team you will tell your grandchildren about.
The march toward the antithesis of perfection continues unabated after the Lions get blown out yet again, and we don't have to wait very long to see if the drive for 16 losses continues. This Thursday is of course the annual Thanksgiving Day "Classic" and the Lions get to host a Tennessee Titans team who will probably be rather ornery after losing their first game of the season this week against the Jets. It could be a bloodbath. It could be so bad, you'll start thinking the turkey on our table had a more fortunate lot in life than you and your fellow Lions fans.

And you thought the auto industry was in trouble...
Since leaving for college, I have pretty much lost track of what is happening in the sports world. However, it looks like my former state’s football team has only gotten worse (I didn’t think it was possible). This is from a review of yesterday’s game.
