Random Thoughts

1. Wow... it's been a long time since I posted! And no, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth yet.
2. Planning a vacation is so much fun, especially when it includes leaving ice, snow, and 20* weather for 70+ degree weather, beaches, and family. Let's just say that being an adult does have it's perks. (Of course, things will be better once I turn 25... grr to car rental companies.)

3. We liked Valkyrie. Thanks to Jeremiah for recommending it, otherwise we probably wouldn't have gone to see it. (And yes, I insisted that my husband take me to see this, much to the shock of those who know me well. [you know who you are]) It did have a sad ending, but I would argue that it wasn't a tragic ending. And it was inspiring. Now if we can only take that type of dedication and perseverance to the pro-life movement....

4. I'm on an autobiography/biography kick these days. So far, I've read Catch Me If You Can, Freedom Writers' Diary, 90 Minutes in Heaven, Mistaken Identity, Peace Child, and, now, Prisoners of Hope. Oh yeah, and a history of the CIA and a book on assasination attempts on Hitler. Got any recommendations for when I'm finished with these? I'm so glad to be done with school!

5. I know that we haven't gone ice skating yet this year, but that's no reason for our driveway to turn into an ice rink. I'm sorry, but skating in 3" heels is not the same as skating on blades. But it was kind of fun to watch the coffee go flying up and not land on me.

6. I hate when my computer freezes. And loses both the web page and Word document that I was typing this blog post into. But I'm thankful for Blogger's auto-save, which kept me from retyping all of this... or just not posting today.

7. I love my husband! He helps me with work projects, does the dishes, loves books as much as I do, and even cleans up after suicidal vases.
