Bluebook update

I know I already posted on the infamous Bluebook - the citation manual for law students - but that post needs an update. In my brief I cite frequently to the record contained in the appendix. According to the Bluebook, this should be done as follows. (App. 25.) (but according to the newest edition, the parentheses are optional, making App. 25 also correct). Below is the correction that was written across the top of my returned paper:

*even though the Bluebook does not indicate that "at" should precede the pincite, the RWA department has decided that "at" should be present. No points off.

Sometimes the phrase can't win comes to mind.
