Assorted tidbits

-Generally when people move, they upgrade to more space.  Not us.  Since we got married, we've downsized twice.  It makes for a good excuse to declutter, but at the same time, picking up yet another box and asking "where is this going to go?" gets old quickly.  That said, with the exception of a few odds and ends, there are only a handful of boxes left to go through.

-Our coffee pot quit in protest.  No really.  It worked fine the first morning in Michigan.  The second morning - nothing.

-Our dish soap either ran away or is in hiding - and it took a bottle of hand soap hostage.  Seriously, we've hunted all over the apartment, and cannot find either.

-The post office doesn't like our new address.  They prefer it when the apartment number comes before the letter, not vice versa. It seems that they've made sense of it though.

-Internet hookup is scheduled for Monday.  So far we've used Starbucks and a friend's house for internet.

-Traffic in MI isn't nearly as bad as VA.  The quality of the roads, however, is worse.

-We've gotten a taste of what it means to live in a college town.  Logos are everywhere.

-Rhyme had a job interview yesterday - we're hopeful.

-Law books are expensive. I'm used to not having to pay for them (when I ordered them for work).

-MI isn't as warm as VA.

Yeah that's the North for you, :-P they use salt on their roads.

It is true that salt doesn't do good things for road conditions overall, but it's so much better in snow and ice than the sand they do use in VA.... ;-) lol
